Serve at Wilmer

Why We Serve

Serve With Purpose

Serving is an important part of life at Wilmer Baptist Church. God has given each of us gifts and abilities to use for His glory and for the good of others. When you serve, you help strengthen our church family and make an impact in our community.

We serve because Christ first served us. Serving is a way to live out our faith, grow spiritually, and build meaningful relationships within the church. Every role, whether seen or unseen, matters.

Serve Others

Make a Difference in our Church and Community by Serving Others

Connect Team Volunteers

Each week, members of our Connect Team greet visitors, provide information about our church, and help direct adults and children to classes all around our campus. Volunteers serve one Sunday per month, from about 8:45-10:30 a.m. We want Connect Team members to be visible (wearing our red connect shirts), friendly, and ready to help!

Comfort Ministry

This ministry prepares food when someone in our church family loses a loved one. If you would like to serve with the Comfort Givers ministry, please give our church office a call.

Join a ministry committee!

Do you want to help decorate for showers, organize missions efforts, minister to widows, etc.? Contact our church to serve on one of our volunteer-run ministry teams!

Serve with our Preschool, Kids, or Youth Ministry:

For each of these ministries, you will serve alongside the minister or pastor who is over that ministry by pouring the love and truth of Christ into the children in these groupings.

There are many more ministries to serve in and opportunities to volunteer across our church!

If you would like any more information about the ministries listed above or other ways you can serve here at Wilmer, please give our church office a call!
